For Diane, life begins and ends with ohana. While she is a powerhouse at the clinic, her favorite titles are Mom and Grandma. Whether she’s spending quality time with her son and daughter or doting on her granddaughter, family is the center of her world. Deeply rooted in her Hilo upbringing, she carries that same warmth and local spirit into every family gathering, ensuring that the traditions she grew up with are passed down to the next generation.

Adventure in the Elements
Don’t let Diane’s soft-spoken and gentle nature fool you - she is a true island adventurer at heart! When she isn’t helping patients find the perfect frames, she’s likely out in the elements. Diane is an avid fisher and a passionate hunter, finding peace and excitement in the Great Outdoors. She definitely brings her own personal flair to the hunt, often spotted with her signature pink-adorned rifle and gear. For Diane, there’s no better way to recharge than by embracing the rugged beauty of the Big Island, proving that you can be both incredibly gentle and exceptionally tough at the same time.

Bridging the Islands
Diane’s commitment to eye care recently took on a new rhythm when she was hailed by Dr. Yang to help launch Eye Care Kauai. She now spends part of her week traveling to Lihue, bringing her decades of expertise and that signature "Big Island" warmth to the Kauai community. While she enjoys the new views and the chance to serve more neighbors across the islands, her heart always returns home to Hilo and the family that makes it all worthwhile.
